No fixed itinerary of temples and museums — just a slow trail down the south coast from one good beach to the next. Mirissa for whale watching and sunset, Unawatuna for calm, snorkel-friendly water, and Tangalle for the kind of quiet, uncrowded sand that’s increasingly hard to find.
Private transfers link each stop, so the only real decision each day is what time to get back in the water.
Welcome at Colombo Airport and short transfer to Negombo. Settle in with a welcome drink and an easy first evening by the beach.
Drive south to Mirissa (about 3h), one of Sri Lanka's best-loved beach towns. Check in and watch the sunset from Coconut Tree Hill.
Early-morning boat trip from Mirissa harbour in search of blue whales and spinner dolphins (seasonal). Afternoon free on the beach.
A full day at leisure — swim, surf lesson if you'd like one, or simply read on the sand.
Short drive to Unawatuna, known for its calm, curved bay and easy snorkelling. Afternoon at Jungle Beach, a quieter cove nearby.
Morning free at the beach, with an optional afternoon excursion to the 17th-century Galle Fort, a short drive away.
Continue further south to Tangalle for a final, quieter stretch of coast — wide beaches with far fewer crowds. Sunset at leisure.
Transfer to Colombo International Airport for your return flight.
