Nine days built around slowing down together β a lakeside city, a scenic train through tea country, and a calm, shallow-water beach to finish. Kandy opens the trip with candlelight and temple bells, Nuwara Eliya and Ella bring cool hill-country air and one of the world’s great train journeys, and Pasikuda closes it with a private beachfront stay on the east coast.
A private candlelit dinner and a couples spa treatment are built in, but most of the trip is simply unhurried time together.
Welcome at Colombo Airport and transfer to Kandy. Check into a boutique hotel overlooking the lake, with a candlelit welcome dinner your first evening.
Visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, followed by an evening cultural dance performance and a quiet stroll around Kandy Lake.
Drive through rolling tea country to Nuwara Eliya (about 3h). Visit a working tea estate and factory, ending with a tasting overlooking the hills.
A relaxed morning in the cool hill-country air (an early-morning excursion to Horton Plains and World's End can be added), then transfer to Ella in the afternoon.
One of the world's most scenic rail journeys, winding through tea estates and mountain views. In Ella, visit the Nine Arches Bridge and walk up to Little Adam's Peak for sunset.
Drive to Pasikuda on the east coast, known for its calm, shallow, turquoise water. Check into a beachfront room and unwind.
A full day at leisure on the beach, with a couples spa treatment in the afternoon.
Another free day by the water, closing with a sunset catamaran cruise along the coast.
Transfer to Colombo International Airport for your return flight.
