This epic 10-day Sri Lanka adventure begins on the coast and crosses the central highlands before returning to the south coast. You’ll explore some of the island’s finest sights — ancient hilltop forts, wildlife-rich reserves and stunning beaches — while experiencing Sri Lanka’s unique Buddhist culture and warm hospitality at every turn. A highlight is the trek through Sinharaja Forest, a UNESCO World Heritage-listed biosphere reserve of global importance since 1989.

Welcome at Colombo Airport and drive to the Cultural Triangle at Sigiriya (3h) through lush scenery of paddy fields, coconut plantations and hills. Relax by the pool after your flight.
Early climb of Sigiriya Rock Fortress to beat the crowds. Later, visit the traditional village of Hiriwadunna by ox-cart, temple and lake boat ride, with a home-cooked meal in a local family home.
Sunrise hike up Pidurangala Rock for panoramic views over Sigiriya. Later, explore the medieval ruins of Polonnaruwa, including the rock-carved Gal Vihara Buddhas (bicycle tour optional).
Visit the Golden Cave Temple of Dambulla and an optional spice garden in Matale en route to Kandy. Visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, stroll along Kandy Lake and the local market, and enjoy an evening Kandyan dance performance.
Drive via Ramboda Falls to Nuwara Eliya, 'Little England', then board the scenic train from Nanu Oya to Ella through the tea country.
Sunrise hike up Little Adam's Peak. Afternoon tuk-tuk safari through the tea plantations, meeting tea pickers, visiting the Sir Lipton tea factory and the Nine Arch Bridge.
Drive toward the south coast, visiting the Elephant Transit Home to watch orphaned elephants being bottle-fed. En route, stop at Diyaluma Falls (220m) for a swim in its natural pools, and Bambarakanda Falls, Sri Lanka's tallest at 263m.
Guided trek through Sinharaja Forest Reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage rainforest renowned for birdwatching (160 recorded species) and endemic wildlife, including nocturnal loris sightings. Afterwards, drive to the south coast at Mirissa.
A free day at Mirissa beach, with optional whale watching, a visit to Rekawa turtle nesting beach, or snorkelling with sea turtles.
Drive from Mirissa to Colombo International Airport (2h30) for your return flight.
